Vegetable brush made from FSC-certified wood - natural brush made of Fiber & Union bristles

The vegetable brush is perfect for potatoes, carrots, beets and many other types of vegetables. The natural bristles are divided into a slightly softer and a harder section, so that the brush can adapt to your needs. The front section is slightly harder, while the rear section of the brush is softer.

Made with a natural fiber blend of natural fiber and Bassine (very hard palm leaf fiber). Union is plant-based like Fibre, but in a significantly harder form.

The wood is untreated with a design print & the bristles are left natural.

Antibacterial effect of wood:

As early as 1994, the Food Safety Laboratory of the University of Wisconsin found that wood kills bacteria. They described wood as one of the most hygienic materials of all. This is due to its natural compounds (polyphenols) as well as the hygroscopic (moisture-attracting) property of the wood. This removes the moisture that bacteria need to survive. Bacteria that retreat into the interior of the wooden board also cannot multiply. They die. This antibacterial effect remains even with repeated bacterial exposure. These findings are also confirmed by the German Federal Agency for Agriculture and Forestry (BBA) and the German Institute for Food Technology e.V. Source: Bavarian State Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forestry

Forest Stewardship Council®

FSC® is an international certification system for forest management, which guarantees that wood and paper products come from responsibly managed forests. In doing so, both environmental and social standards must be met in forest management. www.fsc.org
